One of the main pillars of ConPasión’s mission is to be the feet that go to those that are hurting and in need of redemption.
During the past decade, Nelsa Lamora has been living this mission and serving women across the United States through Heart to Heart Ministries. This ministry was recently taken to the Amazon jungle to help the indigenous women living there.
“The original reason why I went was that my spiritual son, Yosuel Medina, had invited me around a year ago,” Lamora said. “For a while, he had wanted me to come down and preach to the women in the native communities.”
Medina and his family have been missionaries in the Western region of the Amazon for almost two years and have focused on showing communities a healthy family structure. However, during Lamora’s visit, she led a women’s conference to teach the women the freedom they could have in Christ.
“My main focus was around the topic of them having self-value through the eyes of God to measures that they’ve never known about. That was the main reason behind my trip,” said Lamora.
According to the women’s ministry leader, the Amazonian culture is very negative toward women. They are seen as property and not worthy of the same privileges as the men.
“The women in the Amazonian jungle have been poorly treated their whole lives,” Lamora said. “But it was ideal for me to be invited since my entire ministry is centered around the restoration of those who find themselves in these types of situations. It does not matter if it’s a woman or man.”
The perspective that impacts the entire culture means that Lamora had to clearly define what it means to be in a Christian marriage.
“My personal opinion is that God created the woman to compliment a man. That means that without a woman, a man’s work will not be completed as well when compared to having a woman by his side,” said Lamora.
The women’s ministry leader will continue to impact lives for the Gospel through her ministry. Whether that is in the Amazon or across the United States, Lamora’s ultimate goal is to help God restore broken souls.

Una de las muchas columnas esenciales para la misión de ConPasion son los pies de

Durante la ultima década, Nelsa Lamora a estado viviendo esta misión y sirviendo a
mujeres alrededor de los Estados Unidos atraves de su ministerio Heart to Heart. Su ministerio fue recientemente llevado a la Selva del
Amazonas y las mujeres indígenas que viven allí.
“La razón original por la que fui fue porque mi hijo espiritual, Yosuel Medina, me había
invitado desde hace aproximadamente un año atrás.” dijo Lamora “Por ya hace mucho tiempo
el me había pedido y quería que yo fuera a ser parte del impacto hacia las vidas de las mujeres
nativas en las comunidades.”
Medina y su familia han sido misioneros en la región occidental del Amazonas por ya
casi dos años. Su mayor enfoque a sido mostrar el modelo familiar en una estructura cristiana y
saludable. Aun así, durante la visita de Lamora el enfoque fue hacia el liderazgo de la
Conferencia de Mujeres para enseñar la libertad que las mujeres pueden tener en Cristo.
“Mi enfoque principal es acerca del tema de tener alta autoestima y valor propio
atreves de los ojos de Dios en cantidades a las cuales ellas no conocen. Esa fue mi razón central
detrás de mi viaje,” dijo Lamora.
Conforme a la opinión de la líder del ministerio de mujeres, la cultura Amazónica es muy
negativa hacia las mujeres. Ellas son vistas mas como propiedad y les faltan el derecho a los
mismos privilegios que los hombres.
“Las mujeres en la selva Amazónica han sido muy maltratadas toda su vida,” dijo Lamora
“Pero fue ideal para mi el haber sido invitada dado a que todo mi ministerio este centrado
alrededor de la restauración de todos los que se encuentren a ellos mismos en situaciones de la
vida como estas mujeres. Sin importar si son hombre o mujer.”
Desde un punto de vista impactante Lamora tenia que definir claramente lo que
significa estar en un matrimonio Cristo-céntrico.
“Mi opinión es que Dios creo a la mujer para complementar al hombre. Eso significa que
sin una mujer, el trabajo de un hombre no será completo tan bien comparado a cuando el tiene
a una mujer a su lado,” dijo Lamora.
El ministerio de liderazgo de mujeres continuara impactando vidas evangelizando en su
ministerio. Tanto sea en el Amazonas o atreves de los Estados Unidos y el resto del mundo, la
meta mas grande de Lamora es que Dios ayude a restaurar las almas dañadas por la vida.
