Ecuador has an ample ethnic diversity. Thirteen indigenous nationalities comprise 25% of the Ecuadorian population. The Amazon jungle of Educator, specifically the provinces of Pastaza and Morana Santiago are inundated with indigenous communities that do no know about Christ and there are no Evangelical churches in the area. Missiologically they qualify as unreached people. The Shuar is the largest ethnic tribe with a population of 110,000. The second are the Achuar with a population of about 5,440. We can praise the Lord for the villages that have been reached with the gospel.
